Reawakening the Ludham Dragon

What a delight for Withy Arts to be working with the artists from Barrngton Farm once again!

Our new project features the legend of the Ludham Dragon. We are going to recreate this story in images and text and by making a willow dragon. Last Friday we visited the ruined abbey of St Benets where the story is set, for inspiration.

We walked the site taking in the beautiful surroundings, the scale of the site and the ruins.

We took with us the Yarnsmith of Norwich (or Dave as we like to call him informally) and in the afternoon he told us several dragon stories including the story of the Ludham Dragon.

We had a fantastic day and are really excited at the prospect of making some amazing dragon-inspired art work.
