Stitch in Time

Our project from May 2018 is a textiles project working with two groups, initially a group of women.  The project focuses on the Norfolk coastline.

May 8th 2018 In our second session we assembled our dyed, printed and rubbed fabrics to make layout for stitching next time.

While they were drying we stitched directly onto some of the prints and rubbings.

May 1st 2018 We started by printmaking and dyeing using leaves and flowers as our source material.

We dried the dyed fabric on the shed roof. these particular dyes are photosensitive so we don’t know what the results will be until next session – watch this space!
